- Upload - Process of transmitting data of any content from one own´s computer to a server. In the internet a FTP is often used for that. Vice versa the process is called download.

- Visit - Means an access to a website by an internet user. One visit covers all of the user´s page views of the website done in one session. That means if an internet user accesses a website (via a hyperlink to the starting page for instance) and clicks through ten pages after the starting page it is one “site visit” and eleven “page impression”. The user´s behaviour such as starting page, time spent on pages, number and sequence of the pages visited, last page, can be recorded.
