There is plenty of unnecessary scaremongering on the Internet about cookies being dangerous for your computer. It is a well-proven fact that cookies can definitely not do any of the following:

  • Cookies cannot contain viruses.
  • Cookies cannot read your hard drive.
  • Cookies cannot find out your e-mail address.
  • Cookies cannot send e-mails.
  • Cookies can only be read by the web server that placed them. This means that only zanox reads zanox cookies.

Simply put, cookies are very small text files that are placed on your computer when you visit some web pages. zanox AG's cookies contain no security-related or personal data. Of course, visitors can configure their browsers so that cookies aren't accepted. However, this hinders the monitoring of the affiliates' brokerage activity. Unfortunately, not all merchants support session tracking yet. Session tracking does not rely on cookies.
