How can I advertise using e-mails?

There are a number of ways to advertise by e-mail. The most common form of e-mail advertising is to integrate the advertisement in a newsletter. Alternatively, you can place your ad towards the end of the e-mail (below the footer section). Should a recipient purchase something from the advertised merchant using the affiliate-specific link in your ad, you will receive a commission. Note that spamming - sending out unrequested promotional mails - is not prohibited by zanox.

E-mails can be sent in HTML or text-only format. If an e-mail is HTML-formatted, you can also include images. Note however that not all recipients can view HTML-formatted e-mails correctly, as all image components are accessed online; the recipient must therefore remain online in order to receive these. We recommend that you restrict yourself to text-only e-mails to ensure maximum compatibility. In your e-mails, you should primarily use text links when implementing your ad links. On the "Code" page (accessed via the zanox login section), there is a link for "Abbreviated HTML code" which allows you to download the code. You can also navigate to the "Code" page from the "Program Manager" by following the "Code" link.

Be sure to verify the URL checking status. For you to advertise via e-mail, the merchant operating the program must have set the URL checking status to "0". This is automatically the case when you create a new ad space in "Profile" > " Advertising spaces", register yourself for "E-mail" and apply for the program in question. When you apply with the ad space type "E-mail", you are automatically issued a "0" checking status upon confirmation.
